About Me
I am Nicole Fulgham, a passionate educator and writer. This space is meant to give you insight into my skills and the projects that I have created to showcase my work. I have been writing for years. I also love helping others learn and grow, both personally and professionally. My hope is to pivot from a classroom setting into a corporate setting to continue my own growth and learning.
Professional Experience
2024 - Present
Currently, I am working as a Reading Intervention Specialist in grades 9-11 at an online Charter school. I focus on helping students fill the gaps in reading that may have been missed in their education journey. It involves a lot of creativity and understanding to meet the needs of these learners using both synchronous and asynchronous tools. I spend a lot of time collecting data to determine the effectiveness of the tools and trainings.
2019 - 2024
I worked as an English educator working with learners in grades 7-9 in a public junior high in a mixed socioeconomic area. I created scope and sequences, planned out and created curriculum, collected data to determine viability using a variety of assessments, and helped learners reach their potential.
Other Experience
Within my community, I have planned, prepared, and lead small community events in the hopes of building relationships and community. I have also been able to lead discussions with adults that were engaging and thought provoking in the hopes of deepening their understanding of the material at hand.
